Corrections

What we got wrong, what it says now, and when it changed.

Our editorial policy commits us to noting what changed when we correct something, rather than editing it quietly. This page is where those notes go.

It covers corrections to things we published and a reader could have relied on: a wrong fact, a claim we could not support, a link that did not resolve, a name printed incorrectly. It is not a list of improvements, and it is not a record of every change we make to the site.

If you find something else that is wrong, tell us — the page address and the source that contradicts it is enough. Every entry below came from someone checking.

U.S. Chamber Accreditation guide

What was wrong: The page said 195 chambers hold U.S. Chamber Accreditation — it said 191, the figure the U.S. Chamber published when the page was written.
What it says now: It says 195, which is what the U.S. Chamber publishes today. The source was re-checked on 29 August 2026 and the verification date on every guide in this section was updated to match.

Product pages — feature lists

What was wrong: Eight feature descriptions across the six product pages described things the software does not do: sending event confirmations and dues reminders unattended, logging calls and meetings against a member, tagging members freely, custom fields, tracking sponsorship per event with amounts owed, summarising meetings with AI, and publishing directory category pages built to rank.
What it says now: Each of those eight now describes what the software actually does. Where a feature did not exist at all, the slot describes a real capability of that area instead of an intended one.

Product pages and guides

What was wrong: Six questions in our FAQs answered "yes" about things the software does not do: sending confirmation and reminder emails to event registrants on its own, sending dues reminders on its own, tracking sponsorship per event with payment status, and publishing directory category pages built to rank.
What it says now: Three of those answers had a single inaccurate clause, which has been removed. The other three have been taken down, along with two sentences in the guides that said the same thing. We are not describing those capabilities until they exist.

Home page

What was wrong: The site described itself in its structured data as the "#1 alternative to ChamberMaster, Chamber Nation, Wild Apricot, and MemberClicks".
What it says now: The claim has been removed. It was a ranking assertion with nothing behind it, and we have no basis on which to make it.

Home page

What was wrong: The machine-readable FAQ data listed six questions. Five did not match the questions printed on the page, and two of those did not appear on the page in any form.
What it says now: The FAQ data is generated from the questions and answers shown on the page, so the two cannot differ.

Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

What was wrong: Both pages printed the date they were viewed as their "last updated" date, so they appeared to have been revised on whatever day you happened to read them.
What it says now: Both show the date their text was last changed, which is 11 June 2026.

Honolulu, Hawaii

What was wrong: The page listed "Maui" as a nearby city. Maui is an island and a county, not a city.
What it says now: It lists cities on Oahu, along with Lahaina and Lihue as the nearest other chamber markets in the state.

Stowe, Vermont

What was wrong: The page listed "Morrisville" as a nearby community. Morrisville is a village inside the town of Morristown; Morristown is the place the Census records and the one this site covers.
What it says now: It lists Morristown.

County business directory pages

What was wrong: Cities without a page of their own were labelled from their web address rather than their name, printing forms such as "Havre-de-grace", "Bel-air" and "Egg-harbor-city" on 521 entries.
What it says now: Those entries use the recorded place name.

Veteran chamber pages

What was wrong: Links and canonical tags on these pages pointed at a local development address rather than the live site, so the links did not resolve.
What it says now: They are built from the site address and resolve correctly.

What was wrong: The site published @chambersupport as its account handle in social metadata and structured data. That handle does not belong to this company.
What it says now: The handle is @supportchamber.

What was wrong: The site listed a LinkedIn company page in its structured data. The address returned "not found", so the profile did not exist.
What it says now: The reference has been removed. It will return if a company page is created.
